The latest collection to arrive in store is from our Canadian friends at Maple Co.
Each season brings a collection of accessories that are heavily influenced by their rugged North American environment alongside reinterpretations of vintage Japanese work wear. Focusing on sustainable materials, quality craftsmanship and functional design, each Maple product adds just that little bit more soul to your story.
The Maple Longtail Keyring comes in solid brass, with Maple’s signature leather and glass beading accents.
This is one of our favourite pieces from the season: the extra long “Star Concho” belt. Designed with extra length to either hang or tuck and finished with a beautiful thick cut yet soft textured cow leather.
A staple for most seasons, the Bolo Bracelet is now available in bold silver coated glass beads with a leather lace core.

The Store has seen a lot of new arrivals roll through the door in the past few weeks with a few stand out items. Most notably the latest season Jungle shirts from Wtaps. Wtaps has become renowned for their military inspired collections, with each seasons focus subtly shifting to highlight slightly different fabric makeups and treatments. This seasons Jungle shirt comes with the signature four pocket detail with a sleeve pocket update. Fabrication this season is in a heavier weight cotton chino fabric, that has undergone a wash process to create a heavily worn vintage effect. A classic Wtaps piece that can be worn as an over shirt / jacket, that will only get better with age.
We’ve paired this up with the Edwin Labour pants. This seasons Edwin offering has really impressed, including an expansion of their “Indigo” capsule. This season they have also stepped out of their standard classic pant offering to offer slightly more adventurous takes on classic workwear pieces. The Labour Pants being our stand out favourite. Using their classic Union Slim Work Chino as the inspiration, they’ve used the same fabric as last season, a smooth textured highly durable poly/cotton blend that has a subtle sheen. This season updating the fit with a much fuller straight and slightly cropped leg whilst maintaining the same front workwear pocket details. The most interesting aspect of the pant is the subtle elastic detailing on the back waist band, allowing for a much more comfortable fit and greater movement. Also check the slightly heavier weight indigo dyed version that comes in a beautiful linen textured cotton.
Subtle accessories supplied by the latest seasonal updates from Maple Co. The extra long “Star” Concho belt and wallet chain. Incorporating some luxurious yet hard wearing materials and hardware and all hand crafted in their native Canada. The beauty is in the details.

It was on a cold winters day in July of last year that we travelled to Japan to view our very first visvim collection. As we stood outside the showroom in Meguro, a small region of Tokyo, with it’s typically minimal and clean shopfront the space embodied a similar aesthetic to that of their flagship F.I.L. store in GYRE Omotesando, timber floors, antique displays and an all round rustic vibe. We have waited a long eight months to share our experience and we are now proud to announce that the collection has finally arrived in store at Apartment. It is such an honour for us at Apartment to be able to bring one of the most well respected Japanese brands and showcase them here in Brisbane.
Headed by Hiroki Nakamura, visvim is appreciated throughout the industry for being unrelenting in their pursuit of true craftsmanship. Every developmental stage of creating a visvim product is considered, whether is be from the individual craftsmen that contribute to each manufacturing process or to the methods in which their fabrics are sourced and produced; it goes without saying visvim exudes quality.
One of the first pieces to arrive in store from the new visvim collection is from the brand famous ‘Folk’ footwear line. A line that originally started in 2008, ‘Folk’ begun with the concept to produce footwear using natural materials and production techniques. Let us introduce you to the 7-Hole ’73 Folk Boot
The 7-Hole ’73 Folk Boot is hand sewn using good year welt construction. This technique is popularly used by visvim as it avoids the use of adhesives, which allows the natural fabrics to age more freely and also provides functional benefits like greater breathability. Another detail of the ‘73 Fold boot is the use of visvim’s famous vegetable tanned leather, which is a leather tanning technique that again uses natural treatments and techniques rather then the synthetics. This is a process that creates a unique sheen in the leather and allows for the natural patina ageing effect that occurs with the products use and wear.
This boot is finished with a natural cork footbed, a bamboo shank insert for greater shock absorption, natural leather outer paired with air vents for ventilation and a heavy duty RiRi zip for easy access.
The visvim ‘73 Folk Boot is available in two colour waves: black, olive and brown and beige. They tend to be generous with their sizing, so we recommend going down half a size if possible. A friendly reminder that visvim is only available for purchase in store so if you wish to purchase this item please email email@example.com.

Since it’s foundation in 2000 by designer Hiroki Nakamura, visvim has developed a reputation for quality, process and design. In pursuit of timeless beauty, the brand acknowledges the past, using it as a tool for innovation and progression. The brand is based around the idea of finding happiness through creation. It is this concept that serves as the driving force for all visvim design.
Coming soon to Apartment.

The brand takes a unique and original approach in reimagining staple garments such as the Dyed Selvedge Denim Jacket. The jacket is made of Japanese selvedge denim, complete with nylon carry strap detail.
No detail is spared, with all things considered, right down to the custom Ganryu buttons.
Continuing with the blues, the Ganryu Pants and Selvedge Denim Jacket are complimented by the Suicoke GGA-V Sandal in navy. With adjustable nylon straps, original EVA footbed and Vibram sole, the GGA-V is built for comfort.
